Daytime stories.

Indeed, life is full of disappointments. However, disappointments are full of life. Several disappointments are crashing in all at once and my attempts to salvage any situation would be futile. One of which would be my results. Honestly, I would be satisfied with my results so long as they are below 23 points. This was derived at the back of my mind in the year 2007. I mean, you should have seen my results back then. Despite doing a point better for my prelims than my Os, I am still somewhat contented with my 16 points.
(I should think so.)
Besides, it's pointless lamenting since everything has already been done. No use crying over spilled milk. All I can do now is weighing my options and pursuing my interest. Unfortunately, my field of interest isn't within the compound of polytechnics' courses. Psychology Studies is partially one of which, but I want something more focused on psychology. If you get what I mean, that is.
That's why my girls asked me to open a polytechnic of my own- Jean Polytechnic.

Rule #0001:
Enrollment of ugly girls and hot guys ONLY!

Rule #0002:
Tattoos and piercings are part of the requirements.

31 December 2008, Wednesday/ 01 January 2009, Thursday:

A transition.

Nab and I were working that night, and instead of spending New Year with other fisherians, we actually spent it together. The clock stroke midnight when we were on the bus, heading for Downtown East. Both of us had a decision to make. I followed my instincts with a baby step.

Downtown was jam-packed with humans. Everyone was in high spirits, jumping and yelling. We bumped into Jorges, Trisha, Wan Yin, Denn, Jonathan, Hup Ming, and John. We were dining in at a restaurant at E! Hub when he called. There was a mixture of feelings boiling inside of me. Nab said I looked like I was having spasm, but yeah, I was so inflamed. The call sort of came at the wrong time, so I told him I would call back later.

Things happened. It wasn't something for the better, but he handled it maturely. You know, unlike some kids, being puerile and all. Well, at least I have gotten something off my chest. I was relieved.

Then we sat down and rang Lyn up. Oh, we saw Kyril and his girlfriend too. How coincidental. We didn't stay out for long, actually. I think we got home at around three in the morning. Wow, I was bushed.

09 January 2009, Friday:

Lyn and I met up early that day to have our lunch at Fish & Co. express before heading back to school to get my cheque. It was a Friday and CCA Open House was on the following day, so naturally, there would be training for the kids. We went to the dance studio, we went to see several teachers which included Miss Karin Wong, Mrs Koh, Mr Choo, Mrs See, and Ms Shelia. We bumped into Ms Wong and Mrs Wong as well. Very soon, we left for work. Lyn was running late as her shift starts an hour before me, so we took a cab down. I was in a horrible mood since..

I was deployed as the greeter as I was replacing Zul. Goodness gracious, that was my first time officially being deployed as a greeter! I was tensed especially when it was a Friday evening. We weren't expecting to open station D, but well, guests kept coming in. I don't know how well I fared, but that day was, cool. Lyn and I were playing with Farhan's astronaut-ish helmet. It was nice to wear. I bet we looked funny.

10 January 2009, Saturday:

It was CCA Open House, but I missed it. Initially, I wanted to go badly and kept grousing that our Basic Food Safety workshop clashes with it. But when we decided to skip the workshop, I was too lazy to go for the Open House. I slept through the morning and met up with Nab, Sally and Anne in the afternoon. We had our lunch at FCX and took a cab down to Temasek Poly for their Open House. We toured around the campus and we saw Shikin first. Subsequent people we bumped into were Nicholas and gang, Nadz and Khai, Mel and friends, Thob and Haeqal, and et cetera. It was like a Sophix gathering for us, except that Iqbal was the substitution for Lyn that day. Haha.

11 January 2009, Sunday:

Lyn, Anne, Nab, Hanah, Phebs and I attended Beverage workshop today at Glass House. Coincidentally, Mel and I were in the same group again, along with Lyn. It was like a Loyang Primary School reunion as Nab is one of us too. I have learnt more this time as it was out of context, so yeah, overall, it was a fruitful trip.

While Hanah went off with her boyfriend and Phebs headed home, the four of us went to Secret Recipe at PS for our meal. I was starving! So happened that Cloud, Yono and Carmen came in after us, and they joined us as well.

12 January 2009, Monday:

The release of O Level results.

Sophix went in together, and it was like whoa. I wasn't very uptight, as usual, until when Arian was collecting her results. Next was Charissa, followed by Jean.
I got all Bs and a D for my Combined Humanities. At least my Humanities improved by two grades. So overall, I got only 16 points. Nadz was the first to ask about my results, Ash and Mon and people were probing about it too. My dad and mum were okay about my results as they have never expected much from me. I am a disgrace to Janet, though.

My day didn't just end there. Sally, Anne, Lyn, Nab and I went to Downtown East to have our lunch. We ate at Burger King, and after which, Sally and Anne left while the rest of us went to Gelare to chill. We ordered Mini Feast and dug in to different flavours of ice cream!
Yum yum.
As usual, we had lots of laughter(:
Then we saw a couple which melted our hearts. Judging from their brief yet sweet smooch upon meeting each other, we concluded that they aren't local. It was such a sweet sight.

You make my heart tingle.
Misses.
